ABOUT JERRY RUDDEN

Jerry served three years of active duty in the Army. Military service not being the answer to his career path received an honorable discharge. Looking to the future he attended a computer school where he excelled. He did so well that the school hired him. He taught, wrote curriculum, and created business software systems for the school.

While teaching he had applied with a security agency that took 8 months to give him the clearance necessary to work for them. Upon being offered the job it seemed as an opportunity that couldn’t be passed up. Soooo he went to work for the…

Having gotten married and wanting to raise a family the security job didn’t seem like a good fit. As good fortune would have it the job opportunity of a lifetime came along. Taking a job with the University of Maryland he stayed there until he retired. While with the University of Maryland he started as a Programmer Analyst, then became a System Analyst, and aspired to Associate Director. In his career there he instrumental in coordinating the design and implementation of the University's Student Accounts Receivable System on the mainframe computer. Moving over to personal computers he became the Associate Director of User Services. Users Services pioneered Office Automation at the University of Maryland.

While raising a family and working at the University he squeezed out enough time and credits to earn his BS degree in Marketing.

Retiring from the University Jerry and his family moved to Las Vegas. Since being in Las Vegas he has used both his experience and education to further hone his skills. His major employment here has been with UNLV Thomas & Mack. With Thomas & Mack for many years he and his director there handled all the computer needs for the full entertainment and athletic staff of the Thomas & Mack. While there Jerry wrote software, assisted in office automation, and was the Systems Administrator.

Having been around entertainment and having had enough of computers after 30+ years it was time to do something else. An opportunity became available to work with a top show producer in town who had 5 shows. Jerry drew on his education in marketing to become a Director of Marketing and was responsible for marketing and promotions in show business.

Still looking for something that would provide the security and freedom of time, he explored the profession of being involved in real estate. Not willing to settle for anything part way he became a Realtor. Now with Sean Brown and the United Group he is once again pioneering a position, that of Listing Manager.
